The traditional guesthouse KATAFYGI, in the village Katarraktis, was named after the taller top of Tzoumerka, the land of ancient Athamanes. In dense vegetation and running waters, the village Katarraktis offers escapes from the city all year long. The visitor can taste local and traditional flavours – kneaded bread baked in the oven, local cheeses, goat stew, lamb in the oven and the famous pies of Epirus that come with every meal. You should also taste raki made of “zampela” with spicy delicacies. Do not neglect to taste “tsalafouti”.
