At a distance of 12km from Veria and 80km from Thessaloniki, at an elevation of 760m there is the traditional guesthouse ARCHONTIKO ATHINA and it waits to welcome you at the square of the village Koumaria of Veria, on the green mountain Vermio, facing the Pieria Mountains. It is a building of 1906, built with materials of the region, according to the architecture and the aesthetics of that era that has been transformed into a tasteful, comfortable and hospitable guesthouse through suitable modifications.

It has 7 rooms (two-bedded, three-bedded and four-bedded ones), most with fireplace, fully equipped with mini bar, satellite TV, individual bathroom, central heating, each one decorated with individual style and taste, offering all the comforts for a pleasant stay all year long.

From the guesthouse you can visit the ski resort of Seli at a distance of 12km, the antiquities of Vergina, Panagia Soumela, the old town of Veria with the Byzantine monuments, the Jewish quarter (Mparmpouta), the Byzantine museum, the dams of the river Aliakmon with an amazing view, Agios Nikolaos of Nausa that is of astonishing beauty through a route via Seli, among firs, chestnuts and beeches. You can begin your day enjoying a rich home made breakfast, prepared by the hostess whenever you want and then hike in the green forests of beeches, oaks and chestnuts, ski at the ski resort of Seli, ride motorbikes, ride horses and enjoy the food at the local taverns of the village, or relax enjoying your drink and your titbit at the homely space of the dining room or the lounge of the guesthouse, by the fireplace.
