TO PALIO METAXOURGIO, (THE OLD SILK STORE) is situated near Tsangarada and Milopotamos. It is hidden in a forest with chestnut trees, walnut trees and apple trees with a breathtaking view to Aegean Sea. The house offers a comfortable and friendly stay in a homely environment. It is a neo-classical building 130 years old. The building has been renovated with great care to conserve its original features. The marble steps and balcony, plus the flag stoned courtyards, create a characteristic atmosphere unique to Pilion.
Jill the owner of the guest house organises a programme of guided walks in May, June, September and October you can amble through the apple orchards and chestnut forests in the mountains. Descend into valleys with rivers and waterfalls and refresh yourself in the summer with a swim in the Aegean at one of the beautiful beaches. In the winter you may head for the ski slopes at Hania or simply enjoy the local restaurants with their specialities, local wine and log fires.

The twin rooms have very high ceilings and a shower and WC with a view either to the sea, the garden or mountains. There is also an independent Studio with fireplace, a double bed and a fully equipped kitchen.

The accommodation is 2km from Tsangarada, 3km from the most beautiful beaches: Papa, Nero and Damouchari and 25km from the ski resort in Chania.
